One of the wildest bars in the Southern California is a place called the Rabbit Hole — a narrow bar with a super gung-ho Alice in Wonderland theme. It’s filled with funhouse mirrors, custom Alice-themed barstools, and even a bartender crew that’s as into Alice as the space is.
In this episode of Cult Following, host Serena Dai hits up the bar, which is inside a San Fernando Valley strip mall, to see why people line up and pack the Rabbit Hole. People say going inside the topsy-turvy bar is like being on acid — or at least what they imagine being on acid feels like. But despite the crazy potion-like drinks and over-the-top decor, regulars say they keep showing up because it still manages to be a friendly, familiar place. Say two regulars: “It’s like family; it’s like home.”
