Arielle Stevenson is a journalist and storyteller from Largo, Fla. She was educated Largo High School, and the University of South Florida St. Petersburg where she received a B.A. in Media Studies. She recently graduated with her Master’s in Florida Studies. She’s spent years contributing material to radio, print, television and video, as well as writing and producing independent films. Her work has been published in the New York Times, Tampa Bay Times, and Creative Loafing Tampa. She has also worked at various times as a mental health clinic administrator, Chile’s hostess, ice cream shop girl, Tex-Mex waitress, carpenter, brewer, and even put in a three-day stint at a Cracker Barrel before she was fired for "promiscuous" nail polish. She is not married, has no children, and does not live in Brooklyn.
