As we proceed into one of the best weeks of the year to be someone who loves pie, it's time to take a look at what's hot when it comes to an old Thanksgiving classic: the pumpkin pie. Here are 11 of America's hottest bakeries, pumping out their pumpkin pies all week long — from the first US outpost of Maison Kayser in New York to Las Vegas favorite Chocolate & Spice. Not to mention Dallas pop-up-turned-brick-and-mortar Emporium Pies with its Drop Dead Gourdgeous pumpkin pie. Some are still accepting last minute Thanksgiving pre-orders, while others are doing first come first served. Either way, be sure to get a pie.

Celebrated Parisian baker Eric Kayser's first bakery in the United States is offering a considerable array of seasonal baked goods. There's a fromage blanc pumpkin pie topped with a pumpkin mousse and caramelized seeds, plus a pumpkin meringue tart. Both are $28 or $4.75 a slice.

Chef Cathal Armstrong opened his food emporium Society Fair early this year with a wine bar, butcher, market and, of course, an in-house bakery. This former Dallas pop-up now has its very own brick-and-mortar space and offering pies both whole and by the slice. Emporium Pies is offering up a Drop Dead Gourdgeous pie, which is a pumpkin spice pie (think cinnamon, cloves and spice-filled custard) with ginger snap crust.

Pastry chef Megan Romano has been heating up Las Vegas with her very own restaurant, Chocolate & Spice Bakery. The former Charlie Trotter and Charlie Palmer acolyte opened the bakery back in May and is now offering a full range of seasonal items, including a pumpkin spice pie.
