Today, Eater returns to Paris to focus on 10 spots that are garnering serious buzz and acclaim. As was the case the last time around, Paris-based food writer and Mandarin Oriental concierge Adrian Moore (who is also currently writing an "insider chef book" due out in 2015) has shared his picks for the hottest openings of the past 12 months.
Bistros continue to rank high among Paris' hottest offerings thanks to the eponymous new restaurant from a chef who was mostly recently wowing diners at Agapé Substance (David Toutain). Meanwhile, the team behind the acclaimed bistro Septime have opened a new seafood house next door (Clamato). Michelin-starred chef Akrame Benallal has expanded with a wine-and-cheese bar (Brut), while the formerly Michelin-starred Antoine Westermann also has a new wine bar that doubles as a high-end deli (La Dégustation). Jean Francois Piege has also expanded his empire with a pastry shop offering both the classics and some more innovative pastries like the creampuff within a creampuff (Gateaux Thoumieux). Here now, the Eater Heatmap to Paris, a chronicle of the city's restaurants of the moment.
