The Eater Mexico City Heatmap: Where to Eat Right Now

View as Map

Today, Eater returns to Mexico City to focus on eight newish spots that are garnering serious buzz. As was the case the last time around, blogger and world traveler Adam Goldberg, who runs A Life Worth Eating, has shared his picks for the hottest drinking and dining Mexico City currently has to offer. Keep in mind that all of these spots had to have opened within the last year or so. Classics such as Pujol (ranked #17 in the world), Rosetta, MeroToro, and Contramar continue to be as buzzy as ever.

So what's new and hot in Mexico City right now? Well, there's a highly praised new modern Mexican restaurant from a Pujol alum (Quintonil), plus a rustic bistro from a man that Goldberg describes as "a chef's chef" (Maximo Bistrot Local). Coffee is also getting some serious buzz throughout the city, with a new endeavor from Elena Reygadas of Rosetta (with Panadería Rosetta) and a serious new coffee program at Enrique Olvera's café (Eno). Here now, the Eater Heatmap to Mexico City, a chronicle of the city's restaurants of the moment.
