It's been six months since we last looked at Charleston's hottest restaurants, so today we circle back and focus on seven new openings that have been garnering serious buzz. As was the case with the last map, Charleston City Paper editor and Eater contributor Stephanie Barna has kindly shared with us her picks for the hottest dining her city currently has to offer. Among the selections: two restaurants from beloved local chefs (Kevin Johnson's The Grocery, Robert Carter's Carter's Kitchen), a legit Mexican spot (Raul's), a straightforward meat-and-three (Lucky's), and an exceptional gourmet sandwich spot that also does late night service (Butcher & Bee).

Here now, the Eater Heat Map to Charleston, a chronicle of the city's restaurants of the moment.

Tried any of the places on the list or feel there are any glaring omissions? You know what to do.
