They’ve given readers an extensive treatise on the art of pasta, so chef Marc Vetri and cookbook collaborator David Joachim are turning their attention to pizza. The duo is working on a new book, Mastering Pizza, which will be published sometime in 2018, reports Eater Philly.

The forthcoming project is a companion book to Vetri and Joachim’s Mastering Pasta: The Art and Practice of Handmade Pasta, Gnocchi, and Risotto, according to Publishers Marketplace, and its recipes will showcase “the art and science of making irresistible pizza, focaccia, and rotolo.” Reached by email, Vetri tells Eater Mastering Pizza will be “pretty in-depth with tons of different doughs, cooking techniques, flour options, toppings, and shapes.” Readers can expect “some cool surprises as well.”

Since the release of his last book in March 2015, Vetri’s name has exploded beyond the Philadelphia market thanks to a landmark deal with Urban Outfitters. The retail chain, also based in the City of Brotherly Love, acquired the Vetri Family restaurant group last year, and the chef’s Pizzeria Vetri concept is expanding to Urban Outfitters locations in cities such as Austin, New York, and Washington DC. Upon completing the deal, Vetri told Eater Philly he wasn’t selling out, but instead was capitalizing on an opportunity to grow his brand.

Vetri and Joachim previously collaborated on Rustic Italian Food and Il Viaggio Di Vetri: A Culinary Journey.
