Because why wouldn't you want your house to smell like a fast food restaurant, here are Kentucky Fried Chicken-scented candles for only $22. The Kentucky for Kentucky online store sells various items that "promoting Kentucky people, places, and products," and that includes fried chicken candles apparently. The "Scents of the Commonwealth- 'Fried Chicken'" candles are made by frying chicken in an "all-natural soy wax" in a cast-iron skillet with "an infusion of family secrets."
It seems that fast food chicken giant KFC is not a partner on the project nor do they seem to have endorsed it. Other candles in the Scents of the Commonwealth line include Kentucky Derby (with a scent of mint juleps) and Ale 8 (which smells like the beloved soft drink with citrus and ginger). 25 candles of each variety went on sale today at 10:30 a.m. and Kentucky for Kentucky confirms over Twitter that the candles sold out in less than one minute.
Of course, this isn't the first fast food-inspired fragrance to his the market. Last year Pizza Hut Canada released their own signature perfume called "Eau de Pizza Hut." There's also bacon cologne and barbecue cologne for those who prefer to smell like meat. Below, more photos of the Scent of the Commonwealth Candles.
