Welcome to your new digs!
El Vez and Burrito Bar
A casual but tasty option for lunch, you’ll never go wrong with a burrito especial or enchiladas from El Vez. Grab your team to dig into some platters of nachos or choose-your-own-adventure of guacamole: classic, Tito Santana guacamole with mango and red peppers, or verde guac with salsa verde. Plus, nearly 10 varieties of margaritas on the menu should appease everyone in the group.
Hudson Eats
In the nearby Brookfield Place is Hudson Eats, an elevated cafeteria — if only your cafeteria days served up Fuku, Mighty Quinn’s Barbecue, and Black Seed Bagels. Go early to avoid the lines (or order online for pickup) and grab a table outside to extend your lunch hour. And you’d be surprised by the happy hour specials you’ll find after hours: Tartinery offers two-for-one beers and wines from 5 to 7 p.m.
Le District
Also in Brookfield Place, Le District offers more dignified, French-ified lunch options. Dubbed “the French Eataly,” Le District has it all: a rotisserie, a fromagerie, a cafe, and a grocery to take food and coffee to go. To inject a dose of French style into your workday, take your clients to Beaubourg for a bustling brasserie feel, or relax at Le Bar for happy hour and small bites.
Temple Court
Formerly known as Fowler & Wells, Tom Colicchio’s Temple Court sets the standard for fine dining in FiDi. The restored Temple Court Building still retains the old-school New York details, like the 19th-century atrium, that give an air of elegance to your meal. And the menu riffs on 19th- and 20th-century New York dishes, like oysters Rockefeller and pork Wellington.

Augustine
Also in the Beekman Hotel is another one of Keith McNally’s restaurants, the newly opened Augustine. For those seeking out Cherche Midi or Balthazaar closer to the office, this is it: You can stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner and still expect to find some McNally favorites on the menu. Take a client to dinner and split one of the signature rotisserie dishes, like the duck a l’orange, or go for a more casual but refined lunch — you’ll never go wrong with the Augustine burger.
The Malt House
For a team happy hour that doesn’t skimp on niceties, the Malt House has you covered. Order up a $5 draught that’s a big step up from a Bud Light, like the Lagunitas IPA or Founders All Day IPA, or a house mule for just $7. Then order up a tray of snacks for the team: wings, rosemary fries, and bison sliders for all.

Eataly NYC Downtown
Good news: You’re not far from the downtown Eataly at your new office. Take a long lunch at one of the store’s in-house restaurants — we like La Pizza & La Pasta — pick up dinner on your way home from the housemade pasta bar or a panini from the sandwich bar, or just take a midafternoon coffee break. (Or a gelato break, we don’t judge.)

Schilling
The restaurateur behind Edi & the Wolf and the Freud is now behind FiDi’s hottest new restaurant. On the menu is Austrian comfort food, with a touch of Mediterranean influences: Wiener schnitzel with lingonberry, spaetzle with crispy Vidalia onions, and chicken liver mousse are some of the crowd favorites. Grab a communal table and settle in for a much-deserved meal after a long week.
Clinton Hall
For a Friday beer in the sunshine, head to Clinton Hall, where you can fit a large group at one of the outside picnic tables and everyone will be happy with the beer selection. The beer menu changes often, so you can expect to see whatever’s new and greatest being poured. Meanwhile, settle in for the weekend with a burger — the restaurant serves more than 10 kinds — or, if you’re feeling really indulgent, a donut grilled cheese.
