We’re all seeking new inspiration to invigorate our nights spent at home: what to watch next, what to cook next. And many of us are seeking new ways to help the communities most impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Last week, Chase Sapphire® and Eater partnered to bring you Nights In, five nights of Instagram Live programming on @eater featuring some of our favorite chefs, foodies, and friends — all in support of communities impacted by COVID-19. Nights In was in benefit of World Central Kitchen, an organization that is working across America to distribute fresh meals to communities in need and frontline healthcare workers, while also helping put restaurants back to work by integrating them into food relief efforts.
Chase Sapphire committed $2 million to World Central Kitchen, and Eater matched your donations* to World Central Kitchen at wck.org/nightsin in our collective effort to aid communities in need and restaurants. Vox Media, Chase Sapphire, and last week’s Nights In livestream helped raise a total of $2,017,800.50 for World Central Kitchen.
Here’s what you missed during the week of livestreams — you can still watch them on Eater’s Instagram to learn some new recipes and watch Q&As with our favorite stars.
Brooke Williamson, chef, co-owner of three SoCal restaurants, and Top Chef winner made her son’s favorite rice and egg pancakes with fresh veggies and herbs, plus a tequila cocktail.
Former wide receiver Victor Cruz made salsa for Cinco de Mayo.
Chef and restaurateur Jet Tila took us through his recipe for rich and satisfying beef pho.
Giada De Laurentiis made her Lemon Torta Caprese recipe on our stream.
Alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn cooked smash burger sliders with caramelized onions, mushrooms, and sriracha ketchup to be paired with her favorite wine.
* From May 4 through May 8, Vox Media matched audience contribution amounts made to World Central Kitchen at wck.org/nightsin and through the live Nights In events on Instagram. This promotion does not imply that World Central Kitchen endorses Eater, Vox Media, or JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A.
