Anna's Taqueria
After celebrating its 20th anniversary this past fall, Anna's — a classic destination for cheap, filling burritos, tacos, and more — is expanding to Newton Highlands. It'll be the seventh location for the fast-casual restaurant, which is currently located in Cambridge, Boston, Somerville, and Brookline.

The Bagel Place
Vermont-based bagel-and-sandwich shop The Bagel Place is expanding to Newton Upper Falls. The original South Burlington, VT. location features bagel flavors such as kale & cheddar, sweet chocolate chip, Heady Topper Swiss, and Sriracha bacon cheddar. Soups and salads are also on the menu. The Newton location will be part of The Shops at 300 Needham and will seat 18.

Juice Press
Originally slated for a December 2015 opening, Juice Press hasn't debuted yet at The Street in Chestnut Hill. The New York-based juice chain also serves smoothies, raw food entrees, salads, and more.

Beyond winter 2016, expected Newton openings include Moldova Restaurant and Oath Craft Pizza.

Bon Me
(NOW OPEN.) This fast-casual Vietnamese-inspired food truck and restaurant group keeps expanding. The latest brick-and-mortar location (its fifth) is at Chestnut Hill Square, a retail development in Chestnut Hill. It serves a variety of noodle and rice bowls, sandwiches, and more.

Dumpling House
(NOW OPEN.) This new little sibling to Cambridge's Dumpling House offers a similar selection of dumplings (including soup dumplings), buns, seafood and meat entrees, noodle and rice dishes, and loads more, including a mix of standard Chinese-American dishes and more authentic Chinese cuisine.

Little Big Diner
(NOW OPEN.) Sycamore's David Punch has opened a tiny 18-seater serving Southeast Asian-inspired soul food with lots of spiciness and "big, bold flavors" — here's a look at the opening menu, full of ramen and rice bowls and more. Daniel Scott is executive chef. To drink, there are cocktails on draft, as well as beer, wine, sake, and sodas. It's open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily.
