Dave Matthews wants you to wake up and crash into his new rosé

It’s official: Dave Matthews is a Wife Guy. The musician, who has had his own line of wines for years now, recently unveiled the new addition of a California rosé that was all his wife’s idea, Matthews told People. After the couple took their time tasting their own favorite rosés and noting what they liked and didn’t like, the 52-year-old songwriter worked with winemaker Sean McKenzie to bring his vision to life. The result is what Matthews calls a “waking up wine,” a rosé so “delicious” that people should “get out of bed and drink” it.

His tasting notes do make it seem like a refreshing morning bev: “Crisp and light in body with fresh, fruity flavors of watermelon, strawberry, and nectarine.”

  • Cracker Barrel is attracting a lot of attention for banning pastor and county police detective Grayson Fritts from holding an event at one of its locations after learning of Fritts’s history of making death threats against gay people. It seems the company has been trying to turn a new leaf after a history of anti-LGBTQ policies and discriminatory practices against people of color. [CNN]
