Watch: Spending Ten Hours in Lisbon for Pastéis de Nata, Piri-Piri Chicken, and Gelato

Filmmaker Iz Harris and her family beat jet lag to spend a perfect day of eating

Welcome to Travel, Eat, Repeat: Eater’s new series produced, edited, and hosted by filmmaker and vlogger Iz Harris. Season one follows Harris as she travels the coast of Portugal, eating and swerving her way through colorful city corners with her two young sons and husband.

Lisbon, Portugal — a city true to its iconic narrow cobblestone streets, vintage yellow trams, and steep city walkways — is maybe not the first place one thinks of for a family trip with two children under five. But for filmmaker and travel vlogger Iz Harris, those buzzy trams and zippy taxis are a marvel for her two young sons Henry and Oliver who are fascinated by transportation — even if she finds walking up the city’s hills with a stroller to be regrettable.

In this first episode of Travel, Eat, Repeat, Harris and her family beat the jet lag to spend a perfect day in Lisbon enjoying pastéis de nata, piri-piri chicken, gelato, and the city’s best meat dishes.
