During a typical episode of Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, the conversation might cover subjects like marriage, show business, and the art of wasting time, but the sitcom/stand-up legend rarely says very much about the restaurants that he brings his celebrity friends to. That’s all changing now, though, because as a surprise for the Comedians mega-fans out there, Seinfeld is finally sharing his thoughts on the diners and cafes featured on the latest season of his hit show, via a series of humorous mini-reviews that the TV star is randomly adding to Google Maps pages.
Seinfeld recommends the turtle brownie sundae at Raymond’s in Ridgewood, NJ, where he dined with Tracy Morgan, but he suggests asking “to take the shell off otherwise you are picking underneath a lot.” On the page for Via Quadronna, a New York City restaurant where Seinfeld dined with Kate McKinnon, the comedian writes, “Place is so upscale I didn’t even want to chew.” And in his review of the Omelet House, where he dined with the late Jerry Lewis, Seinfeld remarks, “Do not confuse this place with the Omelet Apartment, Omelet Condo, or Omelet AirBNB.” Most of his reviews include four star ratings, but he gives The Diner in D.C. and Via Quadronno in NYC five stars apiece.
