- It seems Chipotle has learned something from Steve Buscemi’s celery agent in Portlandia. The burrito chain is dealing with the fallout from yet another foodborne-illness outbreak, so to get back in everyone’s good graces, Chipotle is adding bacon to its menu. The chain has announced a Southern California test run for America’s favorite crispy pork garnish, which can be included as an add-on to its traditional offerings or found in a couple of new items: a bacon bowl and a BLT quesadilla. And, in an effort to become “more culturally relevant,” according to chief marketing officer Chris Brandt, Chipotle is rolling out build-your-own nachos and some late-night specials in Miami and Dallas through September.
