“Unlike our competitors, we’re not trying to take you away from all you have to do,” Jerry Seinfeld says in the 1960s commercial-style intro to the new Comedians in Coffee trailer. “We think your life is pretty good,” Seinfeld remarks, while drinking a cup of coffee and leaning against a vintage VW Beetle. “And we want you to get back to it,” adds Matthew Broderick, who’s wearing a lab coat and holding a clip board.
After setting up the conceit that Comedians is shorter and more streamlined than a lot of the Peak TV programming out there, Seinfeld and Broderick then introduce a 93-second highlight reel of the jokes and hijinks that fans can expect from the new season of the short-form comedy series when it lands on Netflix early next month. This batch will feature Seinfeld having coffee with Kate McKinnon, Ellen DeGeneres, Hasan Minhaj, Tracy Morgan, Brian Regan, Alec Baldwin, Zach Galifianakis, John Mulaney, Dana Carvey, Neil Brennan, Dave Chappelle, and the late Jerry Lewis.
Previously, the show lived on Crackle, but now all of the past episodes are available to watch on the show’s new home of Netflix. The 12 episodes that make up Season 10 will be available to stream on July 6.
