‘Somebody Feed Phil’ Is Coming Back Sooner Than Anyone Anticipated

TV titan Phil Rosenthal travels to six new destinations around the globe

Somebody Feed Phil, the culinary travel show starring Everybody Loves Raymond co-creator Phil Rosenthal, returns to Netflix this July with new episodes filmed in dining destinations around the world. In the teaser for Season 2, Phil video chats with his elderly parents, who explain that this batch of episodes will feature visits to New York, Buenos Aires, Ireland, South Africa, Venice, and Copenhagen. Just like last season, Phil will be joined by friends and family on these excursions.

Although the first season of this show — which premiered back in January — was generally well-received by the critics, it also has a few detractors (hi!) who aren’t particularly fond of Phil’s mugging for the camera and jokes that just fall flat on their face. This trailer is a pretty good litmus test for whether or not you will like the sense of humor and overall vibe of this show.

The new season of Somebody Feed Phil lands on Netflix July 6, and if you want more of Rosenthal’s musings about food, you can check out his new podcast, Naked Lunch, when it premieres later this summer.
