- Despite the numerous accusations of sexual misconduct lodged at Mario Batali over the last several months, comedian Jim Gaffigan is sticking by his celebrity chef friend. “I read a little bit and I made a point of not reading too much because I like him and I know he’s really got a good soul and a good heart,” Gaffigan recently remarked. The chef famously helped prepare an all -liquid meal for the comedian and his wife last year after she was recovering from a surgery to remove a brain tumor, and couldn’t eat solids. “I love Mario,” Gaffigan tells the Daily News.
