A beloved Nashville fried chicken restaurant aims to set up shop in Atlanta. Several seafood restaurants are slated for Charleston. Rising star Julia Momose will debut a Japanese bar in Chicago. A Philly favorite for noodles and dim sum will next turn its attention to yakitori.

Spring tends to be one of the busiest seasons for restaurant openings, and 2018 doesn’t appear to be an exception. There’s new Pacific Northwest fare arriving in San Francisco, a new Basque restaurant coming to Denver, and a new Asian grill debuting in D.C., among other developments. And among the restaurants on the national radar: a new destination Neapolitan pizza restaurant in New York, a brand-new smokehouse from barbecue master Aaron Franklin in Austin, and a modern Mexican restaurant from Top Chef competitor Claudette Zepeda-Wilkins in San Diego.
