Here Are All the Pixar-Themed Treats Coming to Disney Parks This Year

What to expect from Pixar Fest and the Pixar Pier

Seven new Pixar-themed restaurants and food stands will land permanently at Disney parks this summer, and dozens of items inspired by films like Ratatouille, Finding Nemo, Coco, and Inside Out will be available throughout Disneyland Resort during the limited-time Pixar Fest, running from April 13 to September 3.

When Disney California Adventure’s new Pixar Pier opens June 23, the theme park land-sized ode to animation will bring with it plenty of movie-inspired kiosks, counters, and food stands. Monsters, Inc.’s Abominable Snowman, known for suspiciously offering his guests urine-colored snow cones, will get a food operation of his own. Adorable Snowman — that’s the yeti’s preferred nomenclature — will sell “Don’t Worry, It’s Lemon,” a non-dairy neon yellow soft-serve which will also come “snowcapped” with white chocolate. (Yes, the future competitor to Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s famed Dole Whip will be named after a pee joke.)

Also en route to Pixar Pier is a candy store where guests will be able to see — and possibly eat — the candy tears of Bing Bong, Riley’s forgotten imaginary friend from Inside Out. Details about this candy store are still under wraps, but presumably, the shop will offer a sugary interpretation of the film’s colorful memory orbs. Angry Dogs, another food stand with an Inside Out theme, will sell hot dogs “grilled” on Anger’s fiery head.

A permanent snack stand inspired by the superhero family of The Incredibles will be located next to the forthcoming Incredicoaster ride. Rumor has it that this stand will include a surprise treat — possibly the favorite cookie of Jack-Jack, the tiniest Incredible — but the details probably won’t be revealed revealed until Incredibles 2 drops in mid-June.

If it’s Woody and Buzz Lightyear-themed food you’re after, Orlando’s got you covered as well. When Walt Disney World opens its Toy Story Land on June 30, the characters will have their own quick-service restaurant “within” a Woody lunch box — the conceit here is that guests are shrunken down to the size of toys — as well as yet-to-be-announced specialty snacks served within the 11-acre expansion at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The film’s characters will get a permanent home on the West Coast as well when the Poultry Palace food stand, as seen in the Pixar short Small Fry, opens within Disney California Adventure’s Pixar Pier. Guests can expect turkey legs, of course, and possibly meals with free collectible figures of the Toy Story Toons stars. Beside it will be a Señor Buzz churro stand (the name is a nod to the character’s accidentally-triggered Spanish language play mode in Toy Story 3).

The Ratatouille-themed beignets

During Disneyland Resort’s Pixar Fest, a limited-time summer celebration of the animation studio’s library, dishes inspired by the blockbuster films will be available across the park.

A three-course Ratatouille-themed menu will debut at Café Orleans in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland. As a tribute to the signature dish from the film’s famed restaurant Gusteau’s, the menu will include shrimp ratatouille byaldi. And, as a hat-tip to the scene where Remy the rat visualizes how well strawberry and cheese taste together before teaching his four-legged companions to appreciate food, the menu will also include strawberry-filled beignets with mascarpone ice cream.

Disney California Adventure will be serving a Monsters, Inc.-inspired dish of color-changing chilled noodles in the vein of the film’s chameleon-like antagonist Randall Boggs. The Lucky Fortune Cookery noodles will be soaked in cabbage so that they’ll be blue when they arrive at the table, but when diners add a squeeze of lime or pour on sweet-and-spicy vinaigrette, they’ll turn pink. (If you recall the Instagram-fueled phenomenon that was Groot bread, a one-eyed sourdough loaf honoring the Billy Crystal-voiced Mike Wazowski will soon take its place as well.)

Tomorrowland will feature a slew of Toy Story eats, including a blackberry and Meyer lemon-filled alien macaron. (The claw-obsessed creatures won’t go on sale for a month and have already gone viral.) There’s no official word on whether Disneyland will be opening a Pizza Planet pop-up as part of Pixar Fest — that’s the Toy Story restaurant where Buzz Lightyear and Woody’s attempt to reunite with Andy goes awry — but with new dishes like a pesto carbonara and super nova cheeseburger pizza topped with pickles and a drizzle of special sauce, a pizzeria would fit right in. (The move would make sense, too, considering that a pie-slinging restaurant already exists in that corner of the park, and it looks nearly identical to the one in Toy Story.)

Other Pixar creations that don’t have quintessential foods of their own are also getting the culinary treatment during the seasonal festival. Disneyland’s Carnation Cafe will see the arrival of an Up-inspired caramelized roasted pork chop “TV dinner” and Fried-ricksen sandwich with seared, locally-sourced bologna served on thick bread in honor of the lovable septuagenarian protagonist Carl.

And then, of course, there are the churros. Disneyland’s been leaning hard into seasonal takes on the classic cinnamon-sugar-covered snack — even turning them into eye-popping lightsabers — and will kick it up a notch throughout summer with a colorful lemon churro honoring Up’s Kevin, a salty-sweet chocolate churro with Mexican chocolate sauce for Coco, and a neon pink strawberry churro paying homage to Toy Story’s huggable bear Lotso.

Pixar Fest will also feature more traditional theme park fare as well, including Nemo and Dory cake pops, candy-coated caramel apples fashioned to look like Pixar’s Luxo ball, and marshmallow krispy treats shaped like familiar faces from Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story. Themed drinks in souvenir sippers (like a root beer float served in Woody’s cowboy boot) and character-inspired funnel cakes will also be available at Disneyland all summer long.

Disney will likely make even more announcements about even more items in the coming months, so stay tuned for updates as they become available.
