Here’s Bud Light’s ‘Dilly Dilly’ Super Bowl Commercial

The Bud Knight saves the day

Bud Light is bringing the knights who say “Dilly Dilly” to the second half of the Super Bowl with a new commercial that picks up right where the last ad, “Ye Olde Pep Talk,” left off.

In this clip, the brew-loving king and his subjects are waging battle with evil forces over a large quantity of Bud Light. Things aren’t looking so good for the good-natured Dilly Dilly crew until the Bud Knight appears, wearing blue Bud-branded armor from head to toe. But as it turns out, this mythical hero did not show up to help fight the battle, but rather to pick up some brews for a friend’s 30th birthday party at the medieval convenience store next to the battlefield. After a brief exchange with the Dilly Dilly gang about the party, the Bud Knight decides to lend a helping hand by making a blue lightning bolt shoot out of his sword, thus scaring the enemy away. “Wow, somebody likes attention,” the king quips.

“Dilly Dilly” is a divisive ad campaign, but clearly, Bud Light believes there’s still enough juice left in the tank to give these bros in shining armor a spot during the most-watched TV event of the year. This is just one of many over-the-top food ads that will be airing during the big game on Sunday.
