Eater Young Guns Host Two Events in New York Next Week

Join Eater for a wine tasting and pizza party or for a family-style dinner

Every year Eater puts together a list of the best new talent in the restaurant world — a collection of chefs, butchers, bakers, managers, sommeliers, and captains we refer to as Eater Young Guns. This month we’re excited to show some of them off during a pair of pop-up events at Lee’s on Canal in New York, in partnership with Wisconsin Cheese. The two events are taking place in NYC on December 17 and 18; read up on all the event details and purchase tickets below. See you there!

First up, on Monday, December 17, is a night of pizza making and wine tasting with Kaitlyn Caruke, sommelier and Eater Young Gun, and Scarr Pimentel, owner of Scarr’s Pizza. Caruke, who runs the wine program at Philadelphia’s Walnut Street Cafe, will walk guests through her favorite wines when it comes to pizza and wine pairings, while Pimentel teaches everyone how to make pies of their own. Tickets and more information here.

On Tuesday, December 18, Eater is excited to welcome Young Gun DeVonn Francis — the chef and artist behind Yardy — for a family-style dinner party, with wines selected by Olmsted wine director Zwann Grays. Tickets and more information here.
