Whether he’s spreading the word about America’s great comfort food restaurants on TV, or firing up the smoker to feed victims of natural disasters in real life, Guy Fieri brings joy everywhere he goes. He’s not unlike Santa Claus in that regard, which is why it only seemed fitting to pay tribute to the entertainer born Guy Ramsay Ferry (he changed his last name when he got married 25 years ago as a tribute to his late grandfather) in the weeks leading up to Christmas. During the multi-week, totally-out-of-bounds celebration called the 12 Days of Guy Fieri, the editors of Eater will highlight the Mayor of Flavortown’s contributions to television and the greater world of pop culture, while also looking back at some of the colorful moments of his life off-screen. It promises to be a slammajammin’ almost-fortnight of Fieri festivities.
