The turkey providers at Butterball go above and beyond every Thanksgiving, offering everything from a Turkey Talk-Line with very friendly turkey experts who guide amateur chefs through cooking their bird, robust how-to explainers from thawing to carving, and now even a partnership with Amazon’s Echo — so you don’t even have to pick up the phone.

There isn’t a part of Thanksgiving cooking that Butterball hasn’t tried to solve, and that includes the terrifying idea of deep-frying a turkey. The XL Electric Fryer from the poultry brand retails for $160 and will fry an up to 20-pound bird inside your home, in under one hour. Kitchen Gadget Test Show host Esther Choi is trying the Butterball gadget against the holiday tradition of waiting at least four hours for a turkey to roast in the oven.
