Dunkin’ Donuts Removes Artificial Food Colors From Its Doughnuts

  • Boston-based fried dough juggernaut Dunkin’ Donuts has just made its menu more appealing to anyone who is wary of ingesting a bunch of artificial coloring. The company has nixed fake food dyes from its doughnuts, fulfilling a previous promise to make the move by the end of 2018. Dunkin’ chief marketing officer Tony Weisman says the doughnuts are now made “with simpler ingredients while still delivering the delicious taste and vivid colors expected.”
  • Popeyes, the most celebrated of all the mass-market fried chicken chains, has brought ghost pepper wings back to its menu for a limited time. How good are they? The Takeout’s Kevin Pang believes “you’ll come away thinking it’s the best thing on Popeye’s menu, if not outright the finest fast food fried chicken we have going.”
