- Boston-based fried dough juggernaut Dunkin’ Donuts has just made its menu more appealing to anyone who is wary of ingesting a bunch of artificial coloring. The company has nixed fake food dyes from its doughnuts, fulfilling a previous promise to make the move by the end of 2018. Dunkin’ chief marketing officer Tony Weisman says the doughnuts are now made “with simpler ingredients while still delivering the delicious taste and vivid colors expected.”
- Popeyes, the most celebrated of all the mass-market fried chicken chains, has brought ghost pepper wings back to its menu for a limited time. How good are they? The Takeout’s Kevin Pang believes “you’ll come away thinking it’s the best thing on Popeye’s menu, if not outright the finest fast food fried chicken we have going.”
- According to Fire and Fury, journalist Michael Wolff’s new deep dive into the Donald Trump White House, Trump prefers eating McDonald’s because he’s afraid of being poisoned. He also enjoys eating cheeseburgers in bed. Of course Donald Trump eats cheeseburgers in bed.
- Actress/lifestyle guru Gwyneth Paltrow just can’t talk to anyone in the morning until she’s had her $135 coffee enema.
- Once again proving to be ahead of the game when it comes to #brands on Twitter, @Wendys made a “bofa” joke Thursday afternoon.
Are you fine with bofa?

- Professional basketballer Nikola Mirotic has some interesting dining habits that include mayonnaise and jelly sandwiches and Oreos dipped in orange juice. As this video shows, his Chicago Bulls teammates do not appreciate these delicacies.
- As predicted, the Bollywood remake of Chef is being received as better than the original film.
- If the idea of manually applying icing to homeade cookies sounds too overwhelming, some kind soul has invented a machine — made out of Legos, no less — that will do it for you.
- For those clamoring to know how to make breakfast like a conceptual artist, the Times is on it.
- Finally, the Jacksonville Jaguars are back in the National Football League playoffs for the first time since 2007. To celebrate, and because one of the team’s primary colors is teal, concessions stands at the Jags’ stadium will serve a “teal-based menu” during the team’s game this Sunday. Who wouldn’t want to dig in to this?
