Taco Bell Is Finally Adding Fries to Its Menu

The $1 order will come with a side of nacho cheese sauce

Taco Bell is making drive-thru dreams come true: The late-night junk food purveyor for stoned millennials everywhere is finally adding fries to the menu, as of January 25.

The fries are coated in what Taco Bell calls a “bold Mexican seasoning,” and the $1 portion will come with a side of nacho cheese sauce for dipping. The fries can also be ordered “Supreme” for $2.49 or “Bell Grande” style for $3.49, which will add various accoutrement such as ground beef, pico de gallo, nacho cheese, and/or sour cream.

The chain tested the fries, as well as a french fry-stuffed burrito, at select locations last year, but this marks the first time that they’ll available nationwide. (That dude from Blink 182 will certainly be thrilled: Last fall Mark Hoppus tweeted about a fast-food conundrum, saying, “Taco Bell is better than Del Taco but Del Taco has french fries so it's a real Sophie's Choice of fast food.”)

January 25 will also see the addition of a $5 box combo meal that includes the fries alongside a Doritos Locos Taco, a Cheesy Gordita Crunch, and a medium drink. As further proof that Taco Bell devotees love a good deal, the chain sold an insane $1 billion worth of $5 boxes in 2017.
