Did I have you thinking I was going to do an entire Miami season of Dining on a Dime and not head to Miami Beach? This not-so-long and narrow strip of land off the eastern coast of Florida has its fill of stereotypes, from the bikini-clad locals on rollerblades to the tourists looking to party well into the morning. It has a reputation for rarely ever stopping for a breather, which means that good food is needed to fuel those all-night ragers.
On this week’s episode (number 100!), I’m visiting La Sandwicherie — a vaguely French-themed sandwich shop on South Beach that’s open from 7 a.m. to 6 a.m. daily. The sandwiches, stuffed with fresh prosciutto and mozzarella, or spicy salami and creamy brie, are fresh, served quickly, and most importantly, sweetly available for all but one hour out of the day.
