One might assume pasta-loving Master of None star Aziz Ansari would celebrate an Emmy win at a Los Angeles Italian staple such as Jon & Vinny’s or Valentino. Turns out, he prefers some traditional California fast food. After taking home the comedy writing Emmy for MoN’s “Thanksgiving” episode Sunday night, Ansari hit up In-N-Out Burger, according to People.
A true man of the people, Ansari didn’t send an assistant to grab his food — he placed an order at the counter like any other Angelino. There’s no word on what, exactly, the actor ordered. It must have tasted pretty sweet with the golden statue in tow.
Master of None’s second season premiered on Netflix in May to mostly rave reviews. Ansari shared the writing Emmy with Lena Waithe, who co-stars in the series. Sunday marked the first time a black woman has received an Emmy award for writing.
