Like many of his fellow hip-hop megastar colleagues, Chance the Rapper is a fan of piri-piri chicken chain Nando’s. He’s also a big philanthropist and all-around hometown hero in his native Chicago. So it makes sense, then, that the top-charting artist will be manning the grills at a new Chicago location of Nando’s next Tuesday, and the chain will be donating all the proceeds from September 5 through September 7 to Chance’s non-profit organization SocialWorks, which helps support local arts programs. Chance announced the Nando’s grill-up today on Twitter:
Meet me at @NandosUSA Michigan Ave opening. I’m grilling on 9/5 @ 6pm to #SupportCPS & raise $ for @SocialWorks_Chi pic.twitter.com/AxNhpl1w5L

Nando’s USA VP Sepanta Bagherpour tells DNAinfo: “We can’t think of a better ambassador to help Nando’s celebrate the Grand Opening of our flagship Chicago location, and to help support public education in a city we love.”
Chance’s love of wings is not limited to Nando’s, though: For his 24th birthday this year, Chance got a cake shaped like an impressive take-out order from Chicago institution Harold’s Chicken Shack, and he also brought Katie Couric to that restaurant for some wings earlier this year.
