University of Virginia alum Tina Fey stopped by Weekend Update: Summer Edition last night to talk about the violence in Charlottesville and the planned protests around the country this weekend.
Like many Americans, she’s mad as hell at the white supremacists and President Donald Trump, but Fey thinks the best way to deal with them is not to show up to their rallies. The comedian explains: “I would urge people this Saturday, instead of participating in the screaming matches and potential violence, find a local business you support — maybe a Jewish-run bakery... or an African American-run bakery — order a cake with the American flag on it, and just eat it.”
Fey then digs into the cake and start rattling off all the things that anger her about the Alt-Right and the Trump administration. Fey quips: “Sheet-caking is a grass-roots movement. Most of the women I know have been doing it once a week since the election.”
Watch the brilliant comedy bit above.
