The Great British Bake Off as we know it is done for (RIP), but Mary Berry will soon ascend to her rightful place once more, ascending a throne from which to pass down judgment on home cooks of Britain: She’ll be head judge on a new BBC One cooking competition series called Britain’s Best Cook, the network announced today.

Per the BBC’s press release, the series will feature eight hour-long episodes in which 10 contestants will be “asked to serve the most perfect version of dishes that define modern British home cooking as well as create their special take on well-loved classics” (think roast beef, chicken curry, and chocolate pudding).

Audiences have been thirsty for more Mary Berry since the GBBO cast was disbanded at the end of the beloved series’ seventh season, and the BBC clearly intends to give fans what they want: Berry has already hosted one season of Mary Berry's Secrets From Britain's Great Houses as well as a cooking show called Mary Berry Everyday.

A premiere date for Britain’s Best Cook has yet to be announced; the network is also on the hunt for a secondary judge for the series.
