While taking a summer break from filming The Chew, it appears that Mario Batali is shooting a new, previously unannounced TV show with Zero Point Zero, the production company behind Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and Mind of a Chef. Over the weekend, Batali shared a selfie with actress Maria Bello and ZPZ Producer Krista Ruane near the water in Northport, Michigan, where Mario traditionally spends several weeks of the summer with his family:
Batali also tagged How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris in this photo. A rep for the chef confirms that Batali is indeed working on a new series with the production crew from ZPZ, but no word yet on what the theme of the show will be. Batali has a well-documented love of Michigan, so perhaps this new series — or at least one episode of the show — will highlight the local culture of his home away from home. Stay tuned for more details on the new Batali project as they become available.
