What a world

For anyone who’s ever tried convincing their cab driver to swing by the drive-thru after a night out, Lyft has now got you covered: The ride-sharing service just announced it’s partnering with Taco Bell to offer riders taco pit stops incorporated into their late-night rides.

App users hailing a ride home between the hours of 9 p.m. and 2 a.m. — that is, the only hours during which anyone should actually eat a Chalupa Supreme — will be able to select a new in-app option called “Taco Mode” that will include a stop by Taco Bell on the way to their destination. The experience will also include free Taco Bell swag ,a “custom in-car menu,” taco-themed cars, and a free Doritos Loco taco.

Per a press release, “Taco Mode” will be tested in Orange County from July 27 through 29 and August 3 through 5; it will expand into additional cities later this year, and is expected to roll out nationwide in 2018. Until then, Lyft riders will have to continue using the power of persuasion to get their drivers to pick up drunk munchies.
