Wendy’s Starts Down-N-Dirty Sign War With Tea Shop

It’s like the Hatfields and the McCoys, but with burgers and sweet tea

One of the perks or working at Pure Water Ice & Tea Company in Lubbock, Texas, is that employees can apparently write whatever messages they want on the big, street-facing sign out front. A few weeks ago, assistant manager Kyler Smith put up a sign announcing that local football hero was welcome to drink for free in the shop:

This message caught the attention of Santos Perez, the manager of the Wendy’s across the street, who decided to respond via the fast food restaurant’s signage with the message: “Hey Kliff, hungry and thirsty? We got you.” And thus, a sign war was born. Here are some of the best exchanges:
