Aziz Ansari’s excellent comedy Master of None is gearing up for its return to Netflix on May 12. The comedian just dropped the official Season 2 trailer on Twitter and it looks like one big, weird, well-stocked party that spans from New York City to the Italian countryside.
In a few shots of the trailer, Aziz can be seen wining and dining at the Four Horsemen, the Brooklyn wine bar that’s co-owned by his buddy James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem. Ansari and his crew also hit up stone-cold stunner Westlight, as well as some rustic restaurants in Italy, and an American barbecue parlor. The first season had several food and drink-related plot lines and cameos from NYC hot spots Mission Chinese Food, Parm, Morgenstern’s, and Hometown Bar-B-Que, to name a few.
In his five-star review of Season 1, Eater film critic Joshua David Stein wrote: “Nearly every one of the 10 half-hour episodes which make up the first season of Master of None contains something verifiable and immediately true about food.” Stay tuned for more details on Season 2 of the show in the coming weeks.
