Do You Love In-N-Out Enough to Get Married There?

These newlyweds do!

Picking a reception venue can be one of the most frustrating parts of planning a wedding — especially if you want to offer your guests a truly memorable meal. And if you want your party to have really good food for really cheap, you’re going to have to get creative. Which is exactly what a pair of Los Angeles-area lovebirds did last Friday when they hosted their wedding reception at a local In-N-Out Burger.

Immediately following their ceremony at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Rowland Heights, newlyweds Juan Pablo Cervantes and Vanessa Cervantes headed to the nearest location of In-N-Out, along with their friends and family. The staff of the restaurant did not know ahead of time that they were about to host a wedding reception, but everyone seems to have had a delightful time. The bride got a Double-Double without the onions, and the groom got a Double-Double, regular, with Animal-style fries on the side.

Vanessa first suggested the fast food reception as a joke, because both she and Juan Pablo are fans of the SoCal chain, but her wedding party liked the idea and encouraged her to do it. The groom, who’s a member of the United States Air Force, tells KTLA: “I’m currently stationed in New Mexico, and there are no In-N-Outs over there. I’ve been gone for a while and we really like In-N-Out.” Cervantes also notes that all love for the brand is genuine, without profit motive: “There’s no endorsements going on.”

The impromptu In-N-Out wedding sounds a lot more fun (and a lot cheaper) than the Taco Bell Vegas wedding.
