• Chipotle is adding something sweet to its menu: After years of declining to offer dessert, the chain confirmed yesterday that it’ll soon offer its version of buñuelos — a flat fried fritter topped with honey, sugar, cinnamon and served with an apple dipping sauce. The brand first teased the idea of dessert about six months ago, and the announcement comes just one month after Chipotle launched its new five-ingredient tortilla. Per Business Insider, the item will be available in test markets next month.

• President Donald Trump has a button on his desk whose literal function, when pushed, is to signal a butler to bring him a Coke.

• The Guardians of the Galaxy PR machine is currently in full force thanks to the upcoming sequel, and here’s a stunt we haven’t seen before: The film has partnered with Doritos chips to offer bags with a built-in music player that’s pre-equipped with the movie’s soundtrack. The special chips bags are only available at Amazon and not on store shelves.

• Austin, Texas is joining the food hall boom: Among the vendors at the city’s first-ever hall are local stalwarts like chef Andrew Wiseheart’s Contigo, butcher shop Dai Due, and bakery/pub Easy Tiger.

• Alice Waters’ morning ritual sounds better than yours: “One of the things I like to do most is, with my tea, I’ll have a little organic tortilla and I cut up avocado and make a vinaigrette with spices, like cumin, and I’ll cook my tortilla on the fire, turning it over. ... I like the smell of the corn tortilla cooking. I like to be in front of the stove and the fire. Then I go and sit down, without my phone, and I’ll just pause and look out the window. It’s very grounding for me.”
