Gwyneth Paltrow Plans Outrageously Expensive Food/Wellness Fest

Gwyneth Paltrow, the original post-millennial celebrity-turned-lifestyle guru, is spearheading a conference in Los Angeles where attendees will live their best Goop lives, if only for one day: June 10, 2017. In Goop Health will feature crystal therapy, aura photography, sound baths, and flower remedies, plus I.V. drips for anyone who hit the town a little too hard the night before.

Fans of Gwyneth’s cookbooks and bi-costal dining recommendations will surely be pleased to find food from around a dozen of her favorite LA and NYC restaurants, including the saladmeisters at Sweetgreen, the veggie burger specialists at By Chloe, the bone brother peddlers at Belcampo Meat Co., and the Sex Dust chemists at Moon Juice. The food hall will also feature a special appearance from NYC’s own Ancolie, AKA the restaurant that only serves things in jars.

Admission to this gluten-curious extravaganza costs $500 per person, but that’s only for the base-level “Lapis” ticket (all the passes are named after crystals). For $1,000 per person — the Amethyst pass — attendees will get to swig cocktails with Gwyneth and participate in a session with “body whisperer” Lauren Roxburgh. And for $1,500 per person — the Clear Quartz pass — Goop fans will get to eat “GP’s breakfast pick” in the morning, and a lunch “curated by chef Seamus Mullen” of Tertulia in Manhattan in the afternoon, which Gwyneth and select panelists will also attend. The premium passes also come with all sorts of schwag that the plebes at the $500 level will not receive.

In Goop Health will also feature appearances from Gwyneth’s famous pals Lena Dunham, Jenni Konner, Cameron Diez, Tory Burch, and Nicole Richie. The $1,500 tickets are already gone, but Lapis and Amethyst passes are still available. The official homepage for the Goop wellness summit does not list the location, but the FAQ section notes that ticket holders will receive that info closer to the event on June 10.
