Hip hop superstar Chance the Rapper celebrated his 24th birthday this week by tucking into a cake shaped like his favorite meal from Harold’s Chicken Shack in Chicago.
The cake was designed by Alliance Bakery, a Chicago shop that recently donated proceeds from Chance-themed cookies to the rapper’s charity. DNAinfo notes that the team worked with his assistant for weeks to turn his favorite meal — a seven-piece wing combo from Harold’s with a bottle of Mistic kiwi-strawberry — into a birthday cake. The wings and fries were made of fondant, and the cake inside was vanilla. One of the bakery’s employees, Tony Randall, remarks: “We ordered Harold's a few times as inspiration to have some actual chicken in front of us.”
