How Salt Bae Got His Groove Back

Just when you thought you were done with the sexy sprinkling man…

Turkish butcher/chef/restaurateur Nusret Gökçe set the internet ablaze earlier this year with his ultra-smooth meat slicing and salting skills. Instagram users gave him the name Salt Bae, people started emulating his moves all around the world, and thus, the first great food meme of 2017 was born. Perhaps emboldened by his sudden rise to viral fame, Gökçe quickly started making progressively kookier videos. In one especially bizarre clip, the chef filmed himself waltzing around his restaurant with a headless pig carcass. This moment seemed to mark the end, or at least the beginning of the end, of Salt Baenia.

But now, low and behold, Gökçe has released a clip that somehow manages to capture the magic of his original viral video, while adding a new element into the mix — catching the meat in mid-air with his knife. Watch Salt Bae’s newest salty, meaty masterwork:
