Salt Bae Seasons Dinner for Leonardo DiCaprio

Witness a chance meeting between two legendary heartthrobs

When he’s not headlining blockbusters and trying to save the environment, Leonardo DiCaprio loves nothing more than a day spent peddling around NYC on a CitiBike in his board shorts and Kangol hat, followed by an evening spent imbibing alcohol in the dim light of one of Manhattan’s hottest clubs, surrounded by underwear models and a few of his A-list celebrity friends. You might say that this has become something of a routine for the actor. But even DiCaprio needs a break from the grind sometimes, and an occasional boost of protein. Perhaps that’s why Leo popped up in the Abu Dhabi branch of Nusr-et, the steakhouse owned and operated by Nusret Gökce — aka Salt Bae, the internet’s #1 culinary obsession of 2017:

Clearly, Leo is taking a minute to process the salt sprinkle flourish, which has become Salt Bae’s signature move. It’s unclear whether or not Leo enjoyed his meal here. But if he did like what Gökce was selling, the actor will have many more opportunities to enjoy his cookery later this year, when Salt Bae opens a new location of Nusr-et on Leo’s home turf.
