Make NYE Even Worse by Partying at Mar-a-Lago With Trump

• Want to ring in the New Year at Mar-a-Lago? Partying with President Trump will cost you: Tickets to the country club’s NYE party are $600 for members and $750 for guests. (That’s a hike from last year, when they cost $525 and $575.)

• Sushi Nakazawa, the high-end NYC sushi spot from chef Daisuke Nakazawa coming to the Trump International Hotel in D.C., will have a separate entrance that means hotel guests will have to walk nearly two blocks to access the restaurant — presumably in an attempt to avoid alienating customers who are less than enthusiastic about the hotel’s namesake.

• Frances Bean Cobain, daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, just launched an Instagram page to chronicle her paleo-focused cooking adventures and it already has 50K followers. (How very 2017.)

• The Washington Post put fast-food biscuits to the test. Burger King came in last, with its dry, crumbly specimen eliciting comments like, “It tastes like lies.”

• Buckingham Palace is looking for a new assistant chef — but while cooking for the Queen of England may be prestigious, it only pays £20,604 a year (around $26,000).

• More big beer deals: Japanese brewer Asahi is selling off its stake in Chinese beer Tsingtao. As China grows wealthier, its population is apparently losing its taste for cheaper beers, instead preferring pricier imports.
