Food TV’s hottest new star and her extremely famous basketball player husband are collaborating on a cell phone game that will feature their likenesses running a restaurant. In Chef Curry, Steph takes the orders while Ayesha cooks the food, and both of them have to navigate tricky scenarios involving picky eaters and a getting orders onto the table in a limited amount of time.
In a statement about the game, Ayesha remarks: “When we were conceptualizing the game, I wanted to make sure it reflected the challenges, intensity, and gratification that goes along with managing a kitchen, whether at your home on Thanksgiving serving friends and family or in a high-paced restaurant serving customers.”
The phone game is just one of many new food-related projects that Ayesha Curry has launched lately. Since last fall, she’s starred in her own Food Network show, conquered the meal kit game, debuted a line of home goods, released a cookbook, and signed a deal to co-host The Great American Baking Show. Curry is also currently readying the debut of International Smoke, her San Francisco barbecue restaurant with Michael Mina, and next year she'll open a second location of this establishment in Houston.
Chef Curry is available starting today for iOs and Android, and, as a bonus for the die-hard Curry fans, Steph and Ayesha supply their own voices for the game. Watch the trailer below:
