Yesterday, Michelin revealed its star announcements for Switzerland. Fourteen new restaurants have received one star, and just two new restaurants have earned two Michelin stars, food writer Elizabeth Auerbach noted on Twitter. There are no new additions to Michelin’s top tier this year. Since the 2016 guide when Michelin awarded Cheval Blanc in Basel three stars, Switzerland has had three three-Michelin-starred restaurants, also including restaurant de l'Hôtel de Ville B. Violier in Crissier, and Schauenstein in Fürstenau.

Overall, Switzerland has 96 restaurants with one star, 19 restaurants with two stars, and three restaurants with three stars in 2018, which means that 13 restaurants with one star last year have been dropped, and two two-starred restaurants have lost stars.

Michelin also revealed the full list of Swiss restaurants to make it into the Bib Gourmand guide, which features restaurants at more affordable price points. Check out all of the Michelin-starred restaurants for Switzerland below, along with the complete list of Bib Gourmand selections.
