Hello Kitty’s Face Is What Your Burger Has Been Missing

Food just tastes better with a cartoon cat on it

The Guest, Osaka

Hello Kitty’s star power prevails after 42 years of gracing the world with her presence. A pop-up cafe themed around Sanrio’s most recognizable character hits Osaka, Japan this weekend, RocketNews24 reports.

The Guest Cafe and Diner in the Shinsaibashi district will serve a menu inspired by Hello Kitty and her fictional feline boyfriend Dear Daniel for the next few months.

Some of the special items available at the cafe through the end of March will include beef stroganoff with a pile of pink, heart-shaped rice (served with a take-home souvenir mug); single or double burgers; udon noodle soup accompanied by what looks like a deep-fried kitty croquette; and the most obscenely cute lattes you’ve ever seen.

Here’s a look at some of the Hello Kitty dishes:

Proving the world can never have enough edible versions of the cartoon icon, numerous Hello Kitty-themed restaurants have popped up across the globe over the years including a Hello Kitty dim sum spot in Hong Kong, an official Hello Kitty hot pot restaurant in Taiwan, and an outdoor Hello Kitty restaurant in Irvine, California.
