Gordon Ramsay: Mary Berry Is As Foul-Mouthed As I Am

Michelin star-holding meme star Gordon Ramsay is famous for his expletive-laced tirades on shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. But according to Ramsay, another food TV star is secretly just as foul-mouthed as he is: beloved former Great British Bake Off judge Mary Berry.

Despite her reputation as a mild-mannered baking expert whose most provocative catchphrase involves “soggy bottoms,” Ramsay claims that every Brit’s favorite granny drops her fair share of four-letter words on set, per the Sun except the affable octogenarian “whispers them so no one hears.”

Ramsay’s statement follows criticism from Berry, who has reportedly insisted Ramsay has “no excuse” for constantly shouting at people. “It’s a bit hypocritical,” the Sun quotes the shouty chef as saying. “I think Mary Berry’s a bit like the queen — when they swear they do it under their breath.”

Appropriately, Ramsay’s next television venture is called The F Word. Based on a series by the same name that ran in the UK from 2005 to 2010, it will showcase "foodie families from across the U.S." in a live cooking competition/variety show and is set to premiere on Fox sometime this year.

Meanwhile, following the tragic demise of the Great British Bake Off as we know it, Berry is currently serving as a judge on the show’s American spinoff and is also set to host a new BBC series that will explore the culinary traditions of some of Britain’s oldest and grandest residences.
