Watch: Who Makes the Best Caribbean-Style Pork Sandwich in Seattle?

There’s a story behind these dueling recipes

In the final episode of Dining on a Dime's Seattle season, host Lucas Peterson follows a saga of two dueling sandwich restaurants, each beloved by Seattle locals and visitors alike: Paseo and Un Bien. Both specialize in a Caribbean-style roast pork sandwich, dripping with natural juices and slathered in thick, ropy caramelized onions.

Paseo was the original restaurant, but was forced to close due to financial hardships. It quickly re-opened though, after being purchased by a new owner, and began slinging sandwiches as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, the sons of the original Paseo owner decided to open their own shop, Un Bien, and serve essentially the same roast pork sandwich. A competitive atmosphere to be sure — but how do the sandwiches stack up? Watch as Peterson tries both sandwiches, and declares one the winner!
