Watch: Season 8 of Anthony Bourdain's 'Parts Unknown' Includes an Obama Cameo

Watch Bourdain and POTUS slurp noodles in Hanoi on September 25

Anthony Bourdain is back, and President Obama is along for the ride. Here's a first look at Season 8 of CNN's Parts Unknown, which debuts September 25 at 8 p.m. EST/PST. As usual, Bourdain will be traveling off the beaten path, hanging with locals, and exploring the socio-economic conflicts of various locales along the way. But it's a meal with President Obama that will likely be the season's highlight.

Per a press release, the season premiere will feature Bourdain "motorbiking through Vietnam's capital, traversing its rapidly changing cityscape, and indulging in its singular cuisine with president Barack Obama, who, over a dish of Bun Cha, shares personal stories and reflects on his own international travels."

Some lucky diners caught photos of Obama making his grand entrance at a Hanoi restaurant called Bún Chả Hương Liên back in May; as seen in the trailer, the two dined on bún chả, a traditional dish of grilled pork served in a broth or dipping sauce, flanked by rice noodles and fresh herbs.

Over the course of the eighth season, Bourdain will also eat hot chicken in Nashville, devour spicy food in Sichuan with Eric Ripert, take in an amateur boxing match in Rome, attend a quinceañera in Houston, and more.
