There are two kinds of people in America: Those who are fans of rapper, actor, and professional pot-smoker Snoop Dogg, and those who worship at the altar of lifestyle goddess OG Martha Stewart. For the first time in the history of time, these two categories of humans will be able to sit together on a sofa and watch their heroes on the same screen, together, in what VH1 has dubbed Martha & Snoop's Dinner Party.
That VH1 is launching a cooking show — and that Snoop Dogg is involved — proves food (and food culture) is cooler than (gasp) music right now.
But this also proves that Martha is cooler than ever. Stewart has not only come back from that unfortunate prison and house arrest blip, she’s transcended recipes, tablescapes, Kmart merchandise, DIY pet shampoos, her faux bois obsession, her nemesis Gwyneth Paltrow, and even Turkey Hill (where, obsessive fans know, it all began) to become a bona fide A-list celeb, hoverboard and all. Stewart has been a household name for decades, but with this new show she cements the transcendence beyond her original, arts-and-crafts audience.
This isn't the first time Martha and Snoop have been on a screen together, but this is their first full television series. Set to premiere this fall, filming kicked off this past weekend in LA.
I’m tracking the whole thing like the obsessive fan that I am. Let’s live this together, shall we?
Here’s Martha arriving at LAX with her (approximately) $10,000 worth of Rimowa suitcases and a $1,400 Goyard tote.

That’s “Chef Dogg” to you.
Bling?
Move over 50 Cent, DJ Khaled is in the house.
And there was a slumber party with Robin Thicke? (Don’t miss Snoop’s onesie.)
Let’s get one more look at that:
This is a world I am excited to live in. Vicariously at least.
