Team USA's Simone Biles led her team in crushing the competition at Tuesday night's gymnastics team finals, and she'll compete for more gold medals today in the individual all-around finals. What fuels this kind of athletic greatness? Pepperoni pizza, obviously.
According to an interview with ABC News, that's the go-to post-competition meal for the most decorated gymnast in history: "It doesn’t even matter if I don’t win a self-gold, after every meet I have pizza. Pepperoni pizza," she says.
World-class athletes: they're just like us! You know, except for the fact that they can execute a double back handspring off a four-inch wide balance beam without dying. And then there's this tumbling routine, too.
Of course, pre-competition the four-foot-eight gymnast eats a bit lighter: Biles tells Women's Health she usually eats Special K Red Berries (endorsement alert!) or egg whites for breakfast, presumably because cold pizza doesn't sit well when she's performing her namesake move of a double layout with a half twist.
